➷ Entered Starfleet Academy on a Five-Year Graduate's Degree Programme, with the aim of being chosen for a ship as the Head Medical Assistant right from the get-go.
➷ As such, fulfilled no extra-curriculars and took no optional, non-medical classes. He did, however, self-teach himself the ins and outs of medical technology from the ground up, becoming proficient in building and repairing medical equipment. With an excessively scientific mind, he saw this as key to doing well in his study to be a doctor-- and devoted a majority of his time to studying every single element of modern medicine and related fields.
➷ Also spent a fair amount of time partying. Met and 'hooked up' with some kinda cute, balding cadet in his First Year, and had one of the greatest nights of his freshman life, in which conversation and cuddling were only outdone by said cadet banged his knee three times on the same table. He never got the cadet's name.
➷ Met Musichetta in his third year. Dated with her in an open relationship until the start of fifth year, when they decided to take it a little more seriously.
➷ Rather than fulfill any internships, Joly focused solely on attending optional lectures, signing up for lab practice hours, and serving ailing friends on-hand as a junior medic. Field practice, but with no excessive responsibility or exposure.
➷ Joly was set to graduate in the top 5% of his class, top 1% of graduating medics.
➷ He decided to sign up for the Corinth Project as a replacement for the Physician's Oral Exam after hearing horror stories about it.
➷ Had a single room for all of his time in Academy. But was rarely lonely; had quite a number of friends, including Cosette, Grantaire, and Victorie.
PERSONAL CANON::
➷ Elder brother of one, and by a long shot! His little sister is going to turn 10 this year. He plans to celebrate the double digits by chipping in for a double-layer cake with his parents, and pushing her twice as long on the swings (but not twice as high!!)
➷ Absurdly germaphobic; a habit grown out of reading too many medical records, and seeing too many photos of abnormalities. Absurdly OCD; a habit grown out of being himself.
➷ Really into fashion. His mother is a designer, and he's attended Paris Fashion Week every year since he was six. He has a flare for dressing, and actually greatly enjoys shopping dates. Gets a certain kind of happy smile when he's complimented on it.
➷ Used to make star charts as a child, which evolved into calculating moon phases, gravitational shifts, and weather patterns. Is actually a pretty fair navigator and somewhat of an amateur meteorologist because of it; a fact that ties into his paranoias fabulously.
➷ Believes Chivalry is Still Alive-- and kicking, goodsir!
➷ Genuinely wants to help people. In part, because he doesn't know how to help himself. Might as well put all those -isms to good use!
